Ripple to Partner with Santander Bank to Launch Ripple-Powered App
Ripple has collaborated with one of its largest customers, Santander Group, by announcing a mobile app run by the company's distributed ledger.
According to reports, the bank has been managing the app for 18 months with its employees by combining Apple Pay for payments between $ 14 and $ 14,000. The reports also describe that the app will be used in Spain, Brazil, Great Britain and Poland.
Customers will be able to use the app to place cross-border payments on the same day within a minute. This app will also provide a personal finance manager and help person-to-person payments.
A Santander spokesman told:
"We have planned to launch this in the coming months and we will take care of the mail we have planned to use xCurrent in the project."
Ripples xCurrent product does not use XRP, the company's native cryptocurrency.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse declared this to his followers on Twitter, saying that the app will be released in the quarter.
The plans for the project are announced in the bank's 2017 earnings presentation.
I actually think this is huge. The remittance market is one of the largest in the world and is currently dominated by players (think Western Union/Moneygram, etc.) who stick exorbitant fees on the users AND the receivers. Given over $400B is sent to developing countries every year, Ripple could disrupt that market and reduce the cost for users. Big move for Ripple

The more such contract a coin will get the more it will raise in value. The establishment will welcome any technology and new idea, as long as the establishment is included.
Ripple does therefore have an ok potential.
I have invested in XRP when it was at 0.7$ back in mid of december. I have been a long hodler and did only a few daytrades when it dipped. Do you think XRP will hit the 3$ mark soon again? There were alot of partnerships and good news. XRP also is used in japan already as far as I know. For me XRP will be one of the safe investments for 2018.

Supply and demand rule. If there is a greater supply price will go down. If the demand is higher the price goes up. Take gold for example. When gold was becoming rare commercial communications went threw the roof for the gold exchange. Gold is valuable and silver is also crytocurrency is steem which is worth more cash than bitcoin currently is. Amazing.
