What will happen if you invest 10$ on each coin of the Top100 coins @ 1st January 2018?

Hi everyone,

Half a year ago I did this little experiment with Cryptocompare tracker. The idea was to see what would have happened if we invested just 10$ on each of the 100 top currencies of Coinmarketcap on January 1st 2017.

The ROI of the investment in 2017 has been massive, and right now your 1000$ would be more than 80K! You can check the portfolio here

So I decided to do the same stuff for 2018 (coinmarketcap does not have a snapshot yet of January 1st, but it does from 31st December) so you can check the 2018 portfolio in this link.

So far, the best performing coin of 2018 is...Bytecoin (BCN) with more than 800% growth. Let's keep an eye on it during this 2018 to see how the market evolves but I (and everyone) can anticipate this is going to be an exciting year for altcoins!

So, which are your thoughts for 2018? Which will be the best performing currency? And the worst? What will happen with the big players like BTC, ETH, XRP or LTC? 

*Some coins of the Top100 are still not listed properly at cryptocompare, so I substitute them for the coin sitting at positions Enigma(101), Triggers (102), Navcoin(103). Those substituted are WAX (50), Aelf (85) and Gshares (GXS)
