Top 50.jpg

#25 Thru #21

The ranking order was based on Alexa.com's Global Ranking metrics, starting with the last one at #50. I will be posting 5 sites at a time, until reaching the number #1 most visited and influential website in the Crypto-currency world. This list is not perfect and if I missed a site, please let me know.

#25
Bitflyer.jp
Global Rank #1,800
US Rank #n/a

Coming in at #25 on the list, Bitflyer demonstrates Asia's rising dominance in crypto-currency trading. Bitflyer.jp is based out of Tokyo, Japan, and this is indicative of the changing of the guard in Asia. Since China, which once dominated Bitcoin and other crypto-currency trading, is now clamping down on crypto-currency in general, it left a void now being filled by Japan. Bitflyer had over $100 Billion Dollars in trading volume for 2017 and currently has the largest trading volume in Japan.

#24
Myetherwallet.com
Global Rank #1,785
US Rank #2,008

Screen Shot 2018-02-28 at 5.31.06 AM.png

Myetherwallet is a website where you can create a personal wallet to store Ethereum. Myetherwallet is an open source javascript based tool for creating personal Ethereum wallets. This means that you hold the private keys to your Ethereum, unlike an exchange such as Coinbase. At testament to Ethereum's popularity, Myetherwallet.com comes in at #24 on the list of Top 50. With this type of success, there are those out there trying cheat and scam off this said success, so be careful with fake websites that look like Myetherwallet.com but is not it. They will steal your private keys and your coins. And that goes for all crypto-currency websites, so stay vigilant.

#23
Zerohedge.com
Global Rank #1,700
US Rank #643

Screen Shot 2018-02-28 at 5.37.57 AM.png

The popularity of Zerohedge.com for news and information on economic and political issues puts it at #23 on the list of TOP 50 Most Influential Websites in crypto-currency. Founded in 2009, Zerohedge aggregates news as well as posts opinions and its original news articles. Zerohedge original articles are posted under the pseudonym of Tyler Durden, the main character in the movie Fight Club. The founders of Zerohedge feel that pseudonymity makes for better journalism that allows for the liberation of truth uninhibited by political constraint and it shows by their with their success.

#22
Bithumb.com
Global Rank #1,678
US Rank #19,214

Screen Shot 2018-02-28 at 5.44.37 AM.png

Bithumb is one of South Korea's largest crypto-currency exchanges. Here is more proof that the Asian Market for crypto-currency continues to rise. Although the Bithumb exchange had an employee computer hacked, causing loses for some of its users' accounts, it has since improved its web security and protection of user funds and information. Bithumb continues to meet South Korean regulations as they arise. Bithumb's continued improvement in security and functionality places it at #22 on the list of Top 50.

#21
Yobit.net
Global Rank #1,630
US Rank #5,421

Screen Shot 2018-02-28 at 5.47.19 AM.png

Yobit.net is a crypto-currency trading platform with a built in Dice gambling game as well. There is not much information on this crypto-currency trading exchange's ownership. It does appear that the Yobit website was registered in Russia but that doesn't necessarily mean they are located there. This lack of information has not kept Yobit.net from becoming a very popular crypto-currency exchange, but as with prior warnings, it is always best to hold your own private keys. Obviously if you wish to trade crypto-currencies, at some point you do have to trust the exchanges with your coins and tokens, but as they say, "don't place all your eggs in one basket."

Ahh, have been using most of these websites! Didn't even know YoBit.com is that popular :O I used it to buy one token, but apparently the wallet was frozen at that time. So I thought I'll just wait a few days and I'll be able to withdraw. Sadly, the wallet is still frozen after 3 weeks or so... Don't know much if it should be trusted or not.

Yes @trendo One has to be careful with both the exchange and one's own self. In this case, Trendo, you have to be careful with website name or you could lose your coins. In this case, you put yobit.COM and that is not the correct website, it is yobit.NET
So please everyone, be very careful when typing the website name.

take care

Oh that was a silly mistake by me. But I bought the the coins on the actual site yobit.NET, hehe...
