KeepKey Finally Gives Its Users An Update

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago (edited)

With the insane rise of cryptocurrencies the past few months, I've been updating you all (here and here) about which hardware wallets are out there and where you can find them. Many wallets have been out of stock and some are even fetching hundreds of dollars over on eBay and Amazon. Throughout all this drama, one company, KeepKey that has been nearly silent. With August 1st just around the corner, KeepKey users have been uncertain whether or not their coins are safe. KeepKey hasn't written anything on their blog since April 17th or their Facebook page since May 7th. Thankfully, bgok, an active KeepKey employee on their subreddit has updated everyone with the following:

Because of their extended period of silence, many have already moved onto other hardware companies including Trezor and Ledger. Although this update is a step in the right direction, anyone can portray themselves as an employee of a company. It would be best to have this sort of update on the official KeepKey website and social media - especially since not every KeepKey user is active on Reddit.

This doesn't exactly prove that I work at KeepKey, but it shows that I have access to the office:

Either that or I went to a lot of trouble making a big KeepKey sign. :)

KeepKey social media accounts have been quiet because...reasons. All will be made clear soon and I think most KeepKey users will be happy.
