The MaidSafeCoin (MAID) is currently trading at a low of about $0.39 or 0.00008062 BTC due to the latest Hype on Bitcoin and its upcoming Hard Fork, which made everyone move his or her assets to BTC and away from other coins.
That being you might see the huge investment Possibilities that opened up for the ones who don´t invest in BTC but rather all the other great coins at their current lows, just like e.g. the MaidSafeCoin, which is far away from it´s latest high of more than $0.70 about a month ago.

Any news on progress with their technology? Storj and SIA already have running clients and 3rd party dev ecosystems building around them.
There´s a browser available already on their website as well as a webhosting manager, so it seems to be going forward. But it still seems to be a long journey until the final launch.
Thanks. It slips my mind the MAIDSafe is more than just storage. It also slipped my mind that FileCoin is also a thing: probably because IPFS is everywhere now.
I'm staying away from maidsafe. Until any new news comes about progress they've made that coin seems pretty dead.
As others have pointed out storj ans sia are already up and running so unless maid can do it cheaper or better somehow they're alredy behind in the game.
You´ll never know for sure what´s going to happen. For now I think they´re still in the race, maybe a little behind but only time will show how well they are doing.
Right now they seem to be good for a short term trade for me ;)

The real problem with MaidSaffe is that they have been at it for 10 years and have very few, if anything, to show for it. Even after their BankToTheFuture funding...
They definitely have to speed it up a bit but IMO they´re still in the race.
They just released Alpha 2 and Alpha 3 and 4 may release concurrently. Followed by Beta- after Beta and switch to Safecoin- then this baby could really gain traction.
