Big News Today as the Chinese Bitcoin Exchange lists Bitcoin/Ethereum Classic (BTC/ETC) as its first trading pair starting July 3rd

The Cryptocoinsnews website reports that BTCC, the operator of China’s oldest bitcoin exchange, has launched a ‘pure crypto-to-crypto exchange’ in BTCC DAX, with Bitcoin/Ethereum Classic (BTC/ETC) as its first trading pair.

ETC will be the first among several new cryptocurrencies to be listed on BTCC DAX in the near future. The exchange will notable introduce the ETH/BTC trading pair next week on July 3rd.
While there's a bloodbath going on in the crypto world I've noticed that LTC and ETC seem to be stabilizing some. LTC, ETC, and STEEM are my top three more stable choices for those looking to put their money into something stable that is likely to move up in the coming days. Probably still a good idea to wait a few more days since we are in a downtrend and see when the prices have stabilized a bit before buying in big. In situations like these I tend to buy in increments to see where the price action goes before making a big buy. In the meantime you can just earn on STEEM so its great whether the market is up or down :)
Especially with the BTCC news with ETC and AUGUST 1 MIT news for LTC.
Either way its definitely exciting times. We will have to see how this will change the market moving into the future. I personally decided to change out some of my positions and move into some ETC and HOLD most of my LTC for the long term. Let me know what your thoughts are about this news. Why are they into ETC and not ETH I wonder?
I'm wondering the same thing. Going for the cheaper ETH or maybe there's problems with ETH? Gonna be interesting how it changes the markets.

I'm thinking so also. I'm still watching to see how this recent crash in price plays out but I've been picking some up in increments. I don't see why the price won't move higher on etc in the coming days.
I'd love to make some decent trading decision. Bought ETH at $335 to short it the day before the flash crash. Had so many chances to cut my losses but now I'm sitting on huge losses. Oh well it's a good lesson, I'm a complete noob trader lol.
I feel your pain. Many of my coins that I'm long term holding are deep in the red lol. Even Steem took a steemdump LOL. I am confident however in LTC staying stable and moving up as its becoming more recognized as a safe haven. LTC is very fast and always improving and the August 1st MIT news will likely move up the price. Sorry you got stuck with the ETH though.. I wouldn't know what to do at this point but I might consider getting into some LTC to recover some of your losses. Maybe even some ETC. There are also some coins on Bittrex that look to be stable and moving higher like cloak coin. By this time next week the prices will likely be back to where they were so sometimes its best to just Hold.
Only time will tell. One thing I like about this scenario is it makes me remember that it's still only money. It makes me think about priorities and realize that there are much more important things than whether I profit or not. I'm very lucky to be in the situation that I am so I'm trying to see it as a challenge to keep feeling gratitude for my health, my family, and everything else. Life is still good!
Love this. Its easy to get obsessed about the profits and money. I've been feeling the same way lately and as I learn more and sharpen my skills with these cryptos I'm taking new and more simplistic yet effective approaches all the time. Its always good to take some steps back and look at the bigger picture of whats really important in our lives. Remaining humble and grateful about the finite things in life. I've learned so much with cryptos so far and from the people I've met because of it. Life is still amazing! Thank you :)

Should be interesting to see how it all plays out. I'm guessing that by this time next week we will be back to normal back in an uptrend.
You might very well be right about that, although I must say I'm a bit bearish right now.
However I'm really interested in how Bitshares will do over time in competition with BTCC and others if they launch DEXes. Maybe this will be good for competition and bringing more awareness to all similar projects or maybe it will do the opposite and take away from Bitshares.
I heard about the Crypviser project deciding on using Bitshares (check my blog), so that should be quite positive for liquidity, PR, etc.

Awesome news for ETC - it is really coming into its own as a stable complement to ETH.
Definitely seems like a good idea to have at least some in the portfolio for the long term. Imagine if it grew into what ETH has become. This news makes it seem even more possible.
