WAS THE BITCOIN FORK JUST AN EXCUSE FOR AMERICANS TO FREAK OUT?
Freaking out about everything seems to be the new "normal". Coming up to the fork my timeline was full of posts about how cryptocurrencies were going to collapse and the end was nigh.
Some people were saying sell your bitcoin now before the crash. Others were posting about how they planned to stay up all night watching the markets. Well I bet that was bloody exciting!
And the next day there were posts from people saying how ill they felt from staying up all night drinking coffee. And how their lives are now in ruin because they sold all their Bitcoin and missed out on getting any Bitcoin Cash.
In between those posts were posts from people freaking out that all tinned fish is full of radiation so they are going vegan, and posts from people who are having existential crises because people keep commenting "nice post, follow me" on their posts.
My favourite crypto site is Jaxx. What did they say about the Bitcoin fork?
They said don't worry about anything, we have this sorted, have your tinned tuna for dinner and go to bed. And they posted a nice zen picture of a tree and road forking.
(What they actually said was "with Jaxx there is nothing you need to do leading up to a hard fork")
And that is why I like Jaxx. And why sometimes when I'm looking at Steemit I'm so grateful I'm not an American!

It's not bad living in the states if you're like me and don't give a shit about all the things people think are SO important. Oh and, if you don't watch the news because you know most of it is utter bullocks mixed with fear based agendas. To quote the Avett brothers "When nothing is owed, deserved or expected, and your life doesn't change by the man that's elected"

Ahhhh..., America (actually only the US; there's two whole continents called America) a very, very different and mind blowing place. Sometimes it's like a bunch of sleep walkers in a dream, amazing really. Uhhh, most of the time on second thought.
Wait and see. I like that. You seem almost, "agnostic" about the hard fork. :)
Well I have already made lots of money on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash was just an extra free gift.
If it all turns to shit overnight I'll still be ahead anyway, so I'm not even really paying much attention to it anymore.
