A month ago, I have written an article saying that BAT is a bargain. I f you had listened to me, you would have made 177% profit by now!

BAT = Basic Attention Token

For those of you who don't know what it is, BAT is a cryptocurrency project targeting the internet advertisement market. It is creating a transparent and efficient Blockchain-based digital advertising market. You can read more about the project here.

Still a Bargain?

I think it is. BAT has very good fundamentals: an excellent idea, an excellent team (Its lead is the creator of JavaScript and the co-founder of Mozilla and Firefox), an excellent market and a running product. The current price is still at 50% its all-time-high. So, it has a big room for growth. In addition, we are expecting important news and improvements soon.

Big News Coming for BAT

BAT had launched its browser (Brave) before their ICO. However, the browser did not support the BAT tokens yet. They have recently announced that soon, we will see major improvements: First Phase of the Basic Attention Token Platform (code-named Mercury) Nears Rollout. BAT Mercury, which is targeted for mid-September, is planned to do the following:

1- Browser User Onboarding (with in-browser BAT wallet creation). The Brave browser will include a BAT wallet. Early adopters will receive BAT airdrops.

2- Development of Basic Attention Metrics (BAMs), and In-Browser Analytics to View Measured Browsing Attention. Those metrics are needed to measure how much attention a content is getting.

3- Publisher Onboarding and Verification. This is very important because it will help attracting mainstream attention to BAT. Participating publishers will receive monthly payouts. They can choose to receive them in BAT or in fiat.

Uphold to Support BAT

Uphold defines itself as "a cloud based financial services platform that enables anyone, anywhere to move, convert, hold and transact in any form of money or commodity instantly and securely". On August 16th, a partnership between Uphold and BAT was announced. This announcement confirms that BAT is on the right track of their roadmap. BAT promised that they will provide easy ways for publishers to get their money in crypto currency and fiat. Uphold can help with that:

The Uphold support for BAT will help Brave users fund their wallets via a variety of currencies to contribute to sites. It will also facilitate the contribution settlement process for publishers with automatic conversion of BAT and direct deposit of fiat currency into a publisher’s account.

Target Price for BAT = 1$

I expect BAT to it 1$ by the end of 2017. I will try to write an article explaining my analysis.
