Scrypto is NOT direct competition to Steemit
Scrypto seems to have attracted a number of Steemit users in the last 36 hours. Sure why not, a bit of competition is healthy right?
But in my opinion Scrypto is not really direct competition to Steemit. For 1 it is not a 'Blogging site', its a all in one forum and social networking site for everything cyrpto.
I have had a good look around the interface today, and I must say I really like some of the features. Tomorrow I intend on making a video to show you around the platform so stay tuned for that.

Their payment model seems to be different.
I think it is aimed at the crypto coin market in general, a one stop shop to find out everything and anything about a coin and blockchain. Coin developers can list their coin and use it to reward followers that post good content about their coin.
I have however seen a number of communities pop up on the platform for music and stuff too.

I dont think so. The stakeholders are those that buy the scrypto coin or token or what ever it is. This is currently under an ico. these coin holders will then receive dividends

Thanks for your post! I actually discovered Srypto a week ago, and registered for an account straight forward! I could not be very active yet as I'm on vacation with limited wifi access. One thing that I have not understood yet is how users generate value?
I see you can share altcoins with others, but this makes it dependent to users buying and sharing coins with others. What happens is people just wait for others to vote them? in steemit you share with steem power thats auto-regenerated daily, and also your vote works as curation mechanism, so you can get back some of the value. I haven't understood yet how value is generated in scrypto.
