NEO UPDATE: Smart contract functions can now be executed through web-based interfaces - dApps now possible on NEO!! - Giving Ethereum a run for it's money

It has been reported on Reddit that NEO has been updated to allow smart contracts to be executed through web-based interfaces. This is huge news because it will allow for the first dApps to be built on top of the NEO blockchain. By doing so NEO is directly competing with Ethereum in the dApp race.

With this feature it will be possible to create all kinds of user-accessible smart contracts through browsers. An example of a dApp that runs on Ethereum is Etherdelta, a peer-to-peer ERC20 token exchange.

It is reported on this Reddit post and the first developers have already showed up to say they will try their hands at building a dApp for NEO.

Different than Ethereum which works with it's own Solidity coding language, NEO currently works with a multitude programming languages such as C#, VB.Net, F# 2) Java, Kotlin. In the future support for C, C++, Golang 2) Python, JavaScript will be added too.

      This is great NEWS. I've been a fan of Neo for a long time, even back when it was Antshares. I definitely think that it has the potential to compete with Ethereum.
