NEO Devcon 1 is today - News tidbits: 100.000 tps!!⚡Fenbushi Capital! 🏦
The first NEO Devcon is happening right now in San Francisco and there is much excitement surrounding it from everybody. Up until the recent Tether FUD which caused the newest Bitcoin dip, NEO was seeing amazing price action because of this excitement, setting new all-time-highs in BTC value. I've found some news tidbits from the Devcon so far. More news is sure to follow, but here are some highlights!
NEO WILL SCALE TO 100.000 TPS
The first major news from Da Hongfei is that NEO will be scaling to have as much as 100.000 tps! And without sharding too. This is in contrast to the current 1000 tps and 10.000 theoretical tps. Quite amazing! This puts NEO on par with generation 3 blockchains.
If NEO were to add some kind of sharding technology on top of this 100.000 tps, that would be quite something!
MORE DECENTRALIZATION - FENBUSHI CAPITAL
After recently adding the KPN Telecom as a NEO node they are moving ahead with the decentralization. According to the slide shown below, there are now 6 nodes under the control of the NEO council, 3 for City of Zion and 1 for KPN.
Additionally, posters on Reddit who are at the Devcon are reporting that Fenbushi Capital is going to be the next party to host a NEO node like KPN. Fenbushi is a pretty big corporation worth millions. The name actually rang a bell and it's interesting, because recently it was also in the news when Vitalik Buterin distanced himself from Fenbushi Capital, who he had previously been working with. Is Fenbushi trading in Ethereum for NEO? Hmm..
The NEO Devcon is still ongoing and more news may appear as the day goes by, but I thought these news tidbits warranted a post of their own! And of course, you read it here, before you read it anywhere else :)
