The means used to prevent copying and screen recording are pretty clever. Maybe the reason that the wallet is not open source is that they are afraid that someone will reverse engineer the buttons back to text? I would still beware of all closed source wallets. For all we know, the random seed might be taken from a known pre-generated list of seeds (in that case, I'm not sure how they would guarantee that none of the users got the same seed, though).

You could generate the seed somewhere else and import it then to the wallet.
I did not find more information about the random seed generator. Let's wait for the security audits...
