Step 1 -
Open: https://waveswallet.io/

Step 2 -
Click on the “Create new Account” button.

Step 3 -
After that you get a Notice about the importance of the SEED that you get from Wave. A SEED is simply a series of random words that act like your password to your Waves account.

Without your SEED you can’t log into your Wallet from other devices.

WARNING! Never, ever, ever share your SEED with anyone, ever. WARNING!

I’m going to give you two ingenious ways of keeping your SEED super-safe a bit further in this article.

Step 4 -
Read the Notice.

Step 5 -
Click on the “I understand” button.

Step 6 -
Write your SEED and your wallet address on a physical piece of paper and secure it in a safe place.

TIP: Hide your SEED in a .txt file somewhere and/or consider purchasing a paper or hard wallet.

EX: Make a new Notepad file and store it deep on your hard drive. I have two partitions on my system and I put it in the one that doesn’t have the operating system installed on it.

Name your .txt document something like “Cooking lessons” and then go to google and find 20 pages worth of Cooking recipes.

At the end of that document copy/paste your SEED and wallet Address.

Now that you have those two secured, it’s time to put in a password and name. NOTE: You don’t have to enter your name at all, it’s optional but always choose a strong password.

TIP: Consider using a service like LastPass to easily generate and store robust passwords.

Step 7 -
Click on the “Register” Button

That’s it! You’re ready to get your SXAS.
