Coinbase goes down... again
One of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, Coinbase, went down for maintenance earlier today. They announced later that the outage was due to high customer traffic. Users that tried to use the site saw this error message.
Coinbase is currently one of the largest exchanges and has customers in over 30 countries. However, this is not the first time the site has gone down due to “high traffic” as this seems to be far too common.
Coinbase’s own status for its website read ‘Major Outage’ in red.
If Coinbase wants to be viewed as a major exchange in the cryptocurrency industry then they have to be able to support high volume. If they continue to struggle with this they will soon be passed in this growing industry.
This is not very encouraging, although I read somewhere that they had a huge surge in registrations after the recent Bitcoin price increase.
What are other reliable coin exchange platforms?
