Tribalism in Crypto
You can see it everywhere these days, Bitcoin maximalists, Ethereum believers, EOS gamblers, NEO speculators, Ripple banksters, I feel that most people who hold some coin will gladly say something bad against their competition, for example whenever some layoff happen in some crypto company you can see the news outlets screaming of some kind of weird joy, almost like they wish that other project fails so they have something to write about, of course you can then see in the comments section bagholders of other crypto piling up negative comments to add fuel to the fire.
What happened to good old days when every decent crypto success was everyone's success. In this brutal 90% down bear market we are witnessing some kind of tribalism where everyone is fighting for scraps attacking each other for different reasons, Bitcoin forks for example are creating too much noise and are not necessary, there are 46 Bitcoin forks in existence, three of them are in the top 10 of crypto market cap. They are all essentially used only for money transfer and that's it, do we actually need 46 money transfer Bitcoins? Of course we don't, and yet the forks keep on coming. All that mess started with Bitcoin Cash and it went off the rails ever since. You want to watch for real life use case cryptocurrencies that are creating every day usable apps on top of their blockchains, that is the real deal, using crypto for only money transfer is very limiting and uncreative.
Also when the bear market ends everyone will be friends again, the cycle of crypto life repeats and the lambo talk will return, but until then there will be even more crypto tribes using their primal urges to fling feces on each other. In a way it is funny that so many people do not see the bigger picture where cryptocurrencies can change the world for the better, instead humans be humans while the banks and wall street keep on shorting that shit. Sentiment needs to change, when you start to see more positive articles every day, when tribes evolve, then we might see a true trend reversal. When we unite again expect the price to explode like Bat Out of Hell!
Drastic times call for drastic measures but some people don't understand that so they continue their ego activities.
At least, these crazy times will show who are here for real and for the greater cause and who is here to get rich.
I'm just watching the situation, trying to find real people here and create the best community with them.

First thing I should say good post... Now let's talk about this topic.
Since I started on cryptos, January of 2018. I've seen nothing but tribalism of all the different cryptos, so I haven't seen a world where all the cryptos live together and are happy for each other...
What people don't realize is that there is such a thing called cross-chain smart contracts, in the future all smart contracts will be cross-chained, so it won't matter what blockchain we are part off, or what is our tribe, we will all be connected in one giant web of blockchains! Although even if this is what the future holds there is a problem with some blockchains, we have way too many blockchains that are corrupt, we have LISK nodes cartel, for example, we also have way too many blockchains that are doing the exact same thing, in my opinion, this bear market is only midway and will clean most of these blockchains out since their foundations will go bankrupt and in the next bull run there will be no progress or development on those, which will result in lack of investment, 51% attacks since there will be fewer nodes or miners, and in the end delisting because of this exact reason!
I started in February 2016. and back then the sentiment was very different, the word ICO was a buzzword, everyone wanted to get some new coins, and btw Lisk was one of the good ones, Waves also, they had their ICOs around april 2016. Different times I guess. I was mining Ethereum with my GPU and hell, I wanted to own some Doge coin. Now I wonder how did Doge survive this bear better than Steem. Strange times, but the future like you said will be great.

Love all of crypto. Everyone needs to support more decentralized apps that are not connected to just one network. Get on the OpenBazaars and the Bisqs and the Mastadons and etc.
Crazy stuff going on with Bitcoin Cash and the Satoshi Vision, I just read last night about someone put in some very negative stuff into their chain so if you download that blockchain you are downloading that illegal bad stuff too I think. Source BBC News
It all gives me a headache, I find peace in going to the Dogecoin subreddit and just giving away Doge randomly. If Steemit it had a working TipBot on reddit I would use it, unfortunately too many of Steemit based apps I see do not seem to be trying to get Steem's name outside of this network (SteemPress is a big one that I feel does a great job for Steem though in keeping people within Steem yet also outside too). The next "DTube" killer, whenever that may happen, will only be a DTube killer because it would allow people to embed their videos anywhere.
After I got hacked all I can think of are decentralized exchanges. Now I don't keep any of my crypto on centralized exchanges.
What a strange name to name a coin, Satoshi Vision, backed by Craig Wright.. Just no! And WHY?! This coin is one of the reasons people are not buying. Not surprised to see malware connected to it. But hey only <3
That is what I like when it comes to Steem, you can upgrade everything with time. Apps will get better, more eyes will be looking, we just need that price bump to get things started, when it comes to crypto it is all about that price.
Hi guys! I agree with you two completely, its just bad people acting bad, that is their nature, but real people will allways undrestand whats going on and act accordingly. So lets soldier on people I belive in us :).

Man you should of joined steemit 2 years ago, every upvote then was worth way more (during July of 2017 my 100% upvote was worth 15$), now in bear market everything is kinda slow and the traffic is reduced, Steem price is low. Next bull run though should be spectacular if you weather the bad days and understand what can this blockchain do.
