The Story of Zhao-Xiǎo jie:

Zhao Qiǎo was a second year student at the Běi jīng Institute of Fashion Technology. It had been her dream since childhood to become a fashion designer. Not only did she love the artistic aspects of design; she loved the work of sewing something beautiful from mere pieces of fabric. She began learning to sew at the feet of her beloved Lǎo lao as a small child. Later, after beloved Grandmother rested with her ancestors, her sweet cí mǔ continued passing along the tradition of her family line. Mother patiently taught her young Qiǎo to practice her sewing skills by making doll clothes.

Now Qiǎo sat in her room with a worried heart, and tears streaming down her face. She had just received a phone call, and the terrible news hit her like a storm. Cí Mǔ was very sick. Qiǎo must withdraw from University immediately, and return home. She must put aside her dreams and her studies. She must do what is right, and find work near Mother’s home that will allow her to provide for their needs and expenses, and also keep her close and available to comfort and care for her sweet cí mǔ in her dying months. Qiǎo was overwhelmed with heavy sadness as she packed up her dreams of becoming a fashion designer, and headed home forever.

As she swayed back and forth with the rhythm of the train speeding her home, Qiǎo’s grieving heart gave way to a thought that suddenly popped into her mind. She remembered something she had just heard from a fellow student. She pulled out her laptop, and found what she was looking for right away. Within one hour Qiǎo had created her own online store presence, and listed some of the fancy skirts she had made as school projects. To her complete amazement, she watched as an order was placed, and pending her approval!

Qiǎo’s upside-down world had been turned right again! The innovative, decentralized, e-commerce platform created by BitBoost Block was going to be the portal to her dream becoming reality.
