China Will Not Ban Bitcoin Miners!

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

When the rumers were flying about the ban on exchanges in China. Charlie Lee sent out a tweet (that was later deleted) that it was true that the exchanges were in fact going to be shut down. He got a lot of hate for that from many in the Crypto World. The thing was, it turned out to be true.

A few days ago he stated that the miners will not be shut down in China. John McAfee agrees with him as well. Really though, Charlie's word is good enough for me. In Charlie we trust :)

Good article. Thank you for the share. We were all worried by it, but best thing to do is to continue investing! Haha

Agreed. Invest while the prices are low on coins you like :)

I've got a LTC buy set up to buy 30 when it's price compared to BTC drops. Awaiting the next BTC pop!

Awesome! Good luck!

Interesting that Lee is a source of good predictions on crypto-concerns.
Sidebar: Do you Litecoin is worth anything? They seem to happily take a back seat to bitcoin (calling themselves "the silver to bitcoin's gold") and is there really going to be a need for a one-of-many crypto-currency when we already have bitcoin and ethereum building sidechain-like businesses on top of the already-more-popular main currency? Having trouble imagining any use for Mr Lee's coin in the long term.

Yes, I believe it is a viable coin. There is a bit more tech behind it so it can evolve (recent example is the atomic swap). Some also see Litecoin as something to use for smaller purchases whereas Bitcoin is to be used for larger ones. Thanks for sharing your thoughts :)

Can you explain "atomic swap"? ow it just sounds like techno-smoke

As I understand, it's a way to exchange currencies with a contract instead of going through an exchange. The exchange (a trusted intermediary that charges a fee) is basically replaced with a contract.
