EOS = Everything Open Sourse.
Same thing happened to me. I got into Bitcoin. Then Max Wright (@contrariandude on Steemit) got me into Bitshares.
Demand for EOS and Dapps on its ecosystem will be huge as it would be the best platform for scalability in the short term. Will be interrupted to seem how quickly adoption ramps up vs the Ethereum network when launched.

Not yet. Wait till June. For now keep them save on your myetherwallet (register your tokens as well.. so you get the final EOS tokens after June)

Once we start seeing more Dapps, I'd bet it's going to be huge! One project that I already like is Everipedia, basically Wikipedia on EOS. Already fairly active, while I think it's more like a proof of concept kind of thing. Could be mistaken though.
