Keeping my Ear to the Ground for Crypto

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

Here we are on another red day in crypto. The fact that we make a big deal about a single down day shows how large the gains have been for this space over the past months and years. We expect everything to keep soaring, and learn our lessons when we don't hedge.

The projects I am following are on sale right now, and oh boy am I excited. Here are just a few tidbits and perspectives on what is going on.

EOS

After EOS started to reach the consciousness of some of the power players in crypto, I didn't think we would see EOS under $1.50. The bargain sale of 80-85 cents as of writing looks like Christmas.

The development team is working diligently on the project and are actually ahead of schedule. You can read one of their recent updates here.

Dash

Dash is quietly creeping up in price on average volumes under $1,000,000 per day. That figure astounds me every time I see it considering new projects like EOS routinely do 7-10 million a day.

The Evolution wallet has been postponed till early summer of 2018, which means there is time to stock up before the news breaks.

The Dash team never takes unnecessary risks, and they are meticulously methodical in their growth. If you listen to their quarterly conference calls you hear an organized team focused on mass adoption and ease of use for the customer. The fact that the price has seen 60-70% gains while trading volumes are low and the news feed is relatively quiet for Dash is impressive.

Steem
###

Most of us know what is going on in the Steem ecosystem. What I write here is simply for perspective on what is transpiring around us.

Every day we hear about problems with YouTube, hacks on centralized servers (Equifax was hacked and some 140 million accounts compromised), and the need for decent wages for workers.

While Steemit is not solving the average wage problem for everyone here, there are many third world people that make a living off Steemit. I talk with folks in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Africa regions who rely on their Steemit writing for every day needs. The fact that we can support their lifestyle with Steem under $2 is amazing to me. A reward pool with $10 Steem is exciting to think about.

On top of that, the inclusion of Dtube, Zappl, Steepshot, and the release of Dsound are creating a social media powerhouse. The Steemit blockchain is turning into the Amazon of the social media world. I for one, am excited to be along for the ride.

Spot on, my friend.

Thank you. :)

Wow I agree with your analysis (I also indicated about steem in my recent post where I referenced you) . I was wondering if you mine Dash or gradually buy and hold? what do you think of EOS excessive supply which might hold price down in the log run unless a great strategy is employed by the team.

On my way there.

I buy on the dips.

EOS does have a large supply and as far as I know that is all the supply that will exist. The wide distribution plan of the team is a wise one to me.

Great, always buy low and sell high or hold

Steemit is a way for our bright future ..monetarily...expectations are growing day by day...

Yes, they are.

Great article, and thank you for the Equifax news, that is almost half of the US! Hey, didn't you just win the baseball thing too? Congrats man!

Thank you, glad you found the info useful.

I did win the pitching contest. Thanks!

I dont know a thing about the others, but I sure hope Steem does at least ok! I am looking forward to this weeks report due tomorrow, but the last one was very eye opening!

The selling by Ned through the alpha account makes me scratch my head...

Luke does some great work with these reports. Didn't see this one coke through so thank you for the link!

Ned selling makes me scratch my head too. Kind of like the freedom account with 7 million Steem that seems to be Dan's.

Steemit offers recurring cash flow. That by itself makes it a superior investment. The ROI is limitless.

Yea Agree. EOS looks like it is a slumbering giant. When these type of Cryptos move, they really move. I like Dash and Litecoin.
Steem with the Steemit combination, does seem to be the mortar, that workable paste that binds, (as in, makes sense of ) a lot of these Cryptos together.
I know there are a million Vlogs/Blogs and Newsletters about Bitcoin.

But they are not Bitcoin reflecting on itself or fellow Crypto Currencies.

Steemit, in a very heavy, deep, Grand Canyon metaphysical way, seems to do all this and still provide Cat Videos and a means to earn a living for some of our Asian/African friends.
We are Steemit! We are the World!,
as a famous singer dancer might have said it.
And I am glad to be a part of it.

As we are talking about Steemit and Cat Videos.
Here is a T-Shirt with a famous Polish saying.

Haha, wit and winsome writing all mixed in a crypto perspective

apart from speculating and trading, which is what everyone is fixated on when the market dips, we need digital currencies for a digital world. They're a necessity, so enuf said :)

Enuf said, love it. :)

I'm generally optimistic, occasionally pessimistic.

I see cryptocurrencies and the blockchain as a potentially very positive force in the world. Algorithmic currencies have the potential of being closely aligned with the biblical concept of "honest weights and measures." Because of that, I see them as at least in part a "God Thing," which I've written of before and hope to write more about.

Blessings!

😄😇😄

@creatr

I enjoyed the "God thing" article. The potential for these algorithmic assets is mind boggling. Between them and the internet, I am greatly curious what the Lord is up to for humanity.

I am also curious. I really expected that the LORD would have returned by now, and I've never been a "reconstructionist" or a "dominion theologian," but I've been known to wrong before... ;)

Just yesterday I was exposed to some horrifying possibilities of what evil world powers are doing... but I'd better do some more research and verification before saying anything about what I've seen.

Thanks for your discussion.

it's always good to be connected down to earth ;)

Haha, you're right. ;)
