The GenuineToken ICO has launched, and it gives to charity

So I stumbled upon GenuineToken, it's an Ethereum based token that gives 10% of its crowdsale funds to Cancer Research. Although the site appears to be a joke-coin, similiar to Useless Ethereum Token, I donated some Ether to it purely for the fact that they're going to give some of it to a good cause.

I think these tokens are a kind of protest over how ridiculous ICOs in the Ethereum economy have become, and if they need to succeed so that people finally understand, then so be it!

On their site they say things like:

See if we can launch an ICO to revolutionize the tech industry somehow.

Or the even more humorous:

Buy some cool stuff and go on holiday. Maybe get a new graphics card to play video games.

But what really proves to me that this is a protest token, is the paragraph a little further down:

We actually put a fair bit of effort into figuring out how to launch this. The logo and website looks fairly legit. We guarantee* you'll double your money on this token. You may as well invest all your life savings without telling your partner. What could go wrong?

None the less, at least this one is doing some good, so it can't hurt to "donate" a little.
