Try it out. Send $1 SBD to a bot and you'll get an upvote for like $1.50 or $2.00 SBD. Half of it will be payed in Steem Power though but you can still sell it once you power it down.
I thought the upvotes were showing USD at first too, but I researched a lot and I guess it's SBD. At least I hope so, I haven't had my first payout yet.
the upvotes are in Steem dollars and they are all more than what I bid.
