Might this be because Poloniex isn't accepting SBD deposits or withdraws right now? If your SBD isn't already there, you can't get it in.
Polo has issues, it is true. Note I did not really say what to use, I just gave an alternative, or one option, and put them side by side so people could see for themselves, hopefully actually go to the sites, or a couple others and learn a lesson as I have learned along the way.
Fair enough - thanks for the advice! I need to better about this, so you helped me learn something :-)

I've sent 490 SBD 23 hours ago to @poloniex and I haven't received them. I've triple check my memo code and opened up a ticket to @poloniex to let them know. I also seen a lot of Steemian in the last hours to days who talked about the similar situation.
@barrydutton as soon as you see my comment, correct your title so that it tell people not to sent SBD to Poloniex. Also make a clear warning that it might be the same for Steem as I've also seen people mentioning that the same happened to them in regard to sending Steem to poloniex.
I will remove my flag when you do so and I might even replace it with an upvote.
Yeah they shut down deposits and withdrawls of Steem a few days ago. It's probably going to take a long time to get that money back unfortunately, if my own support ticket response time is any indication.
edit: Best of luck though - supposedly they're getting better about the support tickets.

If you read my comments here..... (and please do, it might be a translation thing) --- I DID NOT tell people to use Poloniex my friend.
I gave it as a side by side example, as part of a crypto lesson. In no place did I tell people to USE Poloniex.
As such, you really should not have flagged this. I will however reword the title right now.
But to be clear, here is the title of the article --- you will see it does NOT mention for people to use Polo.

The post had a bunch of money on it when you flagged it down to literally $0.
This was not the appropriate use of a flag being as you did not actually read my title properly @teamsteem. That is actually not my fault, that was on your side.
You also could have asked me privately, or waited til tonite later to flag this - it killed the post in every regard simply because you misinterpreted the title as I said earlier.
Please use more caution in the future with this. This caused needless harm to a Steemit post and user who always tries to help people.
The reason why I flag it is I'm scare your post will make people sent their SBD to Poloniex and potentially lose their money like it is my situation right now and many others. I don't want this to happen.
It's true that I kind of misread your title.
I'll remove my flag when more time has pass and people have seen my warning about not sending SBD to poloniex right now and also potentially Steem too.
You should make a post about not sending SBD to Polo. I'll upvote it nicely.

I'd love your title to mention not to use Poloniex, it's all fine and dandy if people can fin a place to sell their SBD for more than current @bittrex prices but clearly it's even more important that people know they shouldn't send their SBD to @poloniex for reason I mentioned above.
Me and many other Steemians have SBD caught up in Polo limbo and none of us want more of this.

I know 100% why you did this, but please read things more carefully, it is great you can admit to a mistake but it also cost me, and also buried the post, so people are being hurt not learning a valuable crypto lesson my friend.

2/ I will take your comments you wrote and edit them into the POST now. That will also give you peace of mind.
3/ Please remove the flag right now while I am doing that, the title is fixed, I will do the body of the post now, but please remove the flag now, while I am doing this - it takes some time.
4/ flags damage reputations and I will always work with you and listen to you.

You point is exactly right, people often only read the title that's why I want you to change the title and clearly mentioned they shouldn't be using Poloniex. People shouldn't be using Poloniex a gazillion trillion time more than they shouldn't be using Bittrex.
People will look at your post and maybe even just the title and send their SBD, I know if my SBD weren't lost in Polo limbo right now I would have probably read your title and thought to myself I'll send my SBD to polo.
Mention people shouldn't use Polo in the title and I'll give you a 15% upvote which is worth 60$.
Please none of us want money in Polo limbo. Your $ on this post are clearly more accessible than our money that polo has taken into hostage.

I've removed my flag. I'd still love someone to make a post about not sending SBD to Polo. You could try sending a very low amount of SBD to polo and see if it's still true.

I just went in and edited the title to a strong warning like you wanted --- against Polo.
I was already editing the post as I promised you when your msg came in. But you hopefully will like it better now. I covered all the bases here.
And I'm a man of my words and gave it a nice 15% upvote. Thank you for the change! I think it's a smart move.
I'm okay with my SBD stucked on Polo but I'd rather help people avoid this.
