Cryptos: The Road to Human Progress

For ages, kindhearted leaders have attempted to improve the destiny of the human race. Unfortunately, their efforts have been largely unsuccessful. This is because money, which is the most powerful commodity in the world, is centralized.

On top of that, the few powerful and wealthy people in the world have continued to sabotage the flow and supply of money. Consequently, poverty and misery have remained with us. As you read, a recent report shockingly estimated that about 3 billion people across the globe live on less than $2.5 dollar a day.

And quite interestingly, it is not that there are no enough money to eradicate poverty. The problem has always been the concentration of excessive money in the hands of a few.

Nevertheless, cryptos is about to lead the road to human progress. Already, cryptos have changed the definition of money from a tangible centralized commodity to an intangible decentralized commodity which requires no third party. The implication is that cryptos are already taking economic powers away from an aristocratic few and giving it to the masses.

For instance, since the emergence of Bitcoin on January 9th 2009 more global millionaires have arguably been made with ease than we've seen in the history of mankind.

Not only that, the development of altcoins has resulted to the tokenization of things - a situation where ordinary people now get rewarded for doing the ordinary things they would have done for free. A very good example example is the STEEM token that can be earned by blogging on Steemit - a decentralized social network and blogging platform - and through other forms of interaction with the Steem blockchain.

Also, cryptos have been used by humanitarians to directly reach those who need their help. This way, corrupt middlemen and other bottlenecks in the humanitarian industry will be eliminated, resulting to greater impact on the beneficiaries.

One of the most fantastic humanitarian platforms that have keyed into the possibility of using cryptos to enhance the progress of humanity is @fundition. Fundition is a fundraising platform built on the Steem blockchain to raise funds for humanitarian projects. Fundition has continued to change the world and will continue to do so.

So, I was quite excited earlier today when my eyes caught the news that Binance, the largest crypto exchange in the world by trade volume, was ready and willing to donate 100% of its crypto listing fee to a charity foundation known as the Blockchain Charity Foundation. The move should see more money being pump into humanitarian services and other charity projects in the next few months.

I will conclude this article by stating that, although cryptos are still in its formative years and with diverse challenges such as price fluctuations and public distrust, there is no doubt that it has the power to deliver humanity from the dungeon of poverty and misery. Indeed, the way to human progress is long and tortuous but cryptos can be the sail in the storm.
