STR (Stellar) is Doing Crazy this Weekend - Hype or MORE?

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago (edited)

This weekend various cryptos are going crazy. BIG +++ on the board.

In particular Stellar. An offspring of Ripple.

I was reading the difference between Stellar and Ripple is: Stellar would concentrate on the individuals, and Ripple on the businesses. Stellar tells us on their website (https://www.stellar.org/)

"Stellar is a platform that connects banks, payments systems, and people. Integrate to move money quickly, reliably, and at almost no cost."

In the trollbox of the exchange I'm following it was suggested Stellar is not hype, but sustainable and growth projection with factors higher to the current value; with value of around 2200 Satoshi at the moment of writing. Keep in mind that before the weekend Stellar was around 600 Satoshi. It was also suggested Stellar would come out with a big announcement soon, and large investors acting on pre-information and buying Stellar in large quantities while it is still low priced. I can confirm some large purchases happened today, contracts of 20 to 40 BTC at one go. I also noticed sell walls moved several times, and some of them were pretty big walls.

What do you think? Stellar hype and in pump and later dump. Or is this the road to major coin value increase?

@kevinwong: with your new gig in progress, what is your view?

EDIT: On the rise at time of writing towards 2500 Satoshi! Within a minute or so for around 150 BTC value removed from the 2500 mark.

EDIT (21:41 CET):  nailed it! 2500 mark broken, rocket up...how many stages this rocket has? wow...

It's probably riding on the coattails of Ripple.

That was also suggested in the trollbox indeed.
Unusual big buying contracts for a small coin value it has (I hardly have a trade history, so this statement is maybe quite a stupid one hahaha).

Indeed!!! 90 % + now!

Yesterday also around + 100%. 2nd traded coin today at Poloniex, and close behind its parent Ripple in trade volume.

Wow Superb!!! Great move you've got there .

Now a BIG buy wall and rocket again pffff

I just came back from the woods and seems I missed it

curious - what is STR?

on the Stellar website, it says their native token is "Lumens" (XLM).

confused as to whether the token got renamed, or what STR is about and why there is not info about it on the main website...

STR maybe the Poloniex (exchange) name for Stellar.

looks like must be the case.

From website: https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/xrp/post/p_19543

"Stellar Lumens XLM (formerly known as STR) is fork from Ripple, also the creator is the same one that create Ripple and Stellar the difference is, Stellar controlled by community, and Ripple controlled by banks"

cool, thanks

Good points in this blog. I was about to post a similair post. No matter how populair a coin is. People should always do a proper background check. It surprises me how many coins are out there that don't have their basics right. An interesting website I found: https://www.coincheckup.com I don't know any other site that gives such good inisghts in the team, the product, advisors, community, the business and the business model, etc. Go to: https://www.coincheckup.com/coins/Stellar Lumens#analysis For a complete Stellar Lumens Analysis
