Time to diversify in cryptos, what do you suggest?

Okay this goes out to all my cryptocurrency connoisseurs out there. So I was thinking today about the past and I first found out about Bitcoin back in June of 2012 and it was valued at $7 back then and I thought it would be a good idea to buy 100 Bitcoin, however I did not have $700 to invest at the time so I just forgot about it. That $700 investment today would be worth 1.47 million dollars!!!

Sooooo I'm looking for advice on diversifying my crypto. Between @essentialoilmom and I we have 409 steem. I would like to take 109 of that and invest in other cryptos and leave 300 in Steem. I believe strongly in steem and the steemit platform and I believe we are just scratching the surface of how high the value of steem will go.

So what are your thoughts and suggestions? What should I invest in? Etherium? Litecoin? Bitcoin? Iota? Patientory? Something else?

I'd like to buy atleast one alt coin that's Dirt Cheap like $0.20 or less and be able to buy like a thousand of them hoping that's the next Bitcoin and I can be a millionaire in 2-5 years, like I could be now if I had invested when I first heard about Bitcoin. Even a $70 investment back then would be a debt eliminating life changer for me today. Hindsight is 20/20 they say.

So if you had 109 Steem to invest how would you invest it and why? @mericanhomestead, @ironshield, @papa-pepper and anyone one else active in crypto-trading I might have forgot about.

Please resteem so others outside my active followers can give their opinion.

ENJIN coin is a great buy right now. $0.38 https://www.enjin.com

Its a gaming crypto and they recently just released a there own ETH wallet. And coming soon, there going to be on minecraft (one the biggest games out there)

As a former gamer this sounds promising. Thanks @surprisebit.

No such thing as a "former" gamer bro....you're just fooling yourself. We can draw you back to the dark side no problem. LOL

Nah bro. I wasted to much of my life playing video games. All thru my childhood I had the original Nintendo, which I got when I was 5. I never had the SNES or N64 growing up, but my friends did, I wasn't really a gamer though. Enter adulthood and the game Halo came out and my "college" friends introduced me to this game. I became a gamer. I have the stupid tattoo to prove it. I wasted a decade of my life on playing games in my free time. In the last 4 years I cut back the amount of time I played games and as of May 2016 I sold my xbox AND my big screen tv. We went offgrid til we bought our home back in March. We are back on the grid now but I'm not going back to gaming. Gaming to me now is a family sitting around a table playing Risk, or Clue, or card games like Euchre, or Hand and Foot. Could I be very easily sucked back in to gaming? Yes and no. Yes, it would be very easy for me to get back in to that, No because I don't want to get sucked back in to that and my wife isn't going to allow it. I'm 35 years old and last year was the first time in my life I ever grew my own food. Seeing how much produce my hard work in the ground produced was way more rewarding than going 33-0 in a game on Halo Reach(the game my skills peaked on). Gaming is fun but it can become an addiction and addictions are generally not good. I hope this doesn't come off as a rant, just saying that I really truly am a former gamer.

Nintendo....some of us started with Atari. PONG was A rip roaring game.

Then BMX bikes to the new mall and lots of quarters. Then nothing for awhile. Got back in playing Halo also....because my kids wanted to play it. So i bought it and the consoles.

Then had buddies foing Halo parties. This led to Call of Duty. A buddy in my industry has 18 systems hooked up in his game room and has COD nights, clearly he does okay in the biz. So we have those and i junkie out for those.

But that is once in awhile and i dont even have a system hooked up at home for a similar reason to you. I know itll take up too much of my time. But its about moderation. Playing with a bunch of friends lets me hang out, we do pleny of comiserating in between. Its become a family affair, we've had 3 generations there at one time. And it has actually helped me in my work as bonding with so many peers got me hired more....a nice perk.

I'm not quite off the grid, but im close so i understand what you're saying brother. I will NEVER go back to suburbia, looking to get even farther out.

You just got to control it, not let it control you. That is for anything my friend. Dont let thoae veggies take over your life!!!

Sounds like you've made some great choices for you and the family dude.

Oh man the halo parties! I used to host a halo party at my house every year. We would start at like 5 pm. We would have a bunch of little Cesar's pizzas and taco dip. There would be like 20 of us spread out over 5 rooms. We would play all night and crash when the sun came up.

Verge or XVG at .20 cents looks really interesting!

That's two nods for Verge now. It's one I'll be checking out. Thanks @daveks. Is there anything else you can tell me about it?

Their big thing is privacy... somewhat like Monero but much cheaper. Also you can choose to use it privately or open ledger. Heard the verge ceo or spokesman give a talk and was quite impressed with his knowledge and acumen, for a young dude too! Digibyte is also interesting at .12 cents.

Maybe verge is a possibilty. Specialists expert it to raise above 1$ this year.

I heard about verge for the first time today. Can you tell me more about it @fullcoverbetting?

Its an anon coin. My biggest problem is that I can’t find aroadmap for 2018, but I still have faith in the coin.

Hi @dwells . I recently purchased Electroneum. I also mine it on my laptop and iPhone. Currently it sits at .16 cents, which was .08 cents just a week ago. It is known as the mobile cryptocurrency and I believe will be worth more in the coming months. Thanks for the great post.

Is there anything special about it @kenmelendez?

Yes. It will be used a lot in the online gaming industry. I suggest reading the white paper here http://electroneum.com/overview-white-paper.pdf

Can you tell me more about how you mine it on your phone?

Posting to follow this!

I would buy TRX. I am optimistic about its future!

What is TRX and why are you optimistic about it @xwarrioryz

TRON(TRX) was pushed up big recently due to rumors of what John McAfee said. Is now crashing back down below John's $0.15 target. Someone had said that John said TRX was going to hit $15.

What a Little Steem Will Do - Update for January 2017

Forget the big coins, just watch the swings of the smaller, but not junk, coins.

Thanks @deanlogic. I'll give this a read later tonight. Do you have any suggestions on a wallet? I was told I should get an Exodus wallet.

Don't worry about a wallet, just get an account on Bittrex to move your STEEM/SBD to BitCoin(BTC).
I Bought BTC with my SBD through Bittrex

Then get yourself an account on Binance to trade the coins not on Bittrex. If you feel adventurous enough, you can look to opening up on some of the other exchanges. Stay clear of Polinevergonnagetyoursteembacknix.

Just saw a Tweet about a predicted rise in Ripple(XRP), Verge(XVG), Sia Coin (SC) and Cardana(ADA). Sia would be your best bet for a cheap coin that will go up quickly for a good return to build your portfolio.

I have a bittrex account already so I'm good to go on that. If I don't have a wallet doesn't that mean the coins are stored on the exchange then? Sorry I'm a bit of a crypto-dunce when it comes to this part of it.

Yes. The exchange will create a wallet for you on the exchange.
With so little to invest, there is no reason for you to buy, transfer it to your wallet, transfer it back up to the exchange and then sell.

With so little to invest.....

I'm not sure if I should be insulted or appreciative for the advice. Lol.

I only invested around $50 of STEEM/SBD to start. When you start trading, you quickly see how little it is. ;)

Well with steem over $6 I'm looking at moving close to $650 worth.

I was meaning for the long haul, like when I buy XVG or TRX, where should I store it long term? I thought a wallet was the safest place for it.

A paper wallet is the safest option.

Or the individual wallet for that coin. When I get around to something that isn't a exchange or paper wallet, it will probably be something like the Trezor or a Ledger. I will never get a generic wallet that is always on-line.

The exodus wallet is on your computer desktop I believe I was told. It's offline that way.

Any reason why you suggest getting XVG or TRX on binance instead of bittrex?

It doesn't matter.
But, if you do convert your BTC to Binance Coin (BNB), then you get a discount on trades on Binance, which makes it less than half the cost of Bittrex.

Thank you for all the replies @deanlogic. You have been a big help sir. I appreciate it greatly.

Hi @Dwells I think you should have a look are Siacoin and Funfair.
Maybe think about looking at some ICOs too. I’m thinking about investing in travel.io
The AGI token will be one to look out for when it gets listed too.

Gonna be watching this post brother, hopefully lots of great info will come out for you.

I have some friends that were all talking about Cardona (ADA).....enough so that I grabbed some after doing some research on where it "might" be going. Obviously it's always someones best guess when they make predictions.

However.....it has stepped back the last few days, of course after I bought, so you should totally do your own research to make your decision. I'm not too worried, this has happened with everything....but it does have me paying careful attention to it.

Ethereum is a no brainer, in my opinion. It is predicted to be worth over 4 times as much by years end. Not so much about how much of whatever you have, or how much it costs.....but what percentage it will rise.

Good luck brother.

I hope you decided to pick up some Sia Coin (SIA) last night.

No I didn't. Getting on the computer was not on the schedule last night. It was date night with the wife. Spent it snuggled in bed catching up on one of our favorite TV shows. I'm on coinmarketcap now doing research on all the suggestions.

Welp, it looked like the rally is fizzlin.
