btc is reserve currency for rest of the crypto market. I doubt ether or ltc can take over that status. supply is low, especially most bitcoin already been mined and reward blocks halving.
I think still depends on what will happen with segwit. if all goes well, all worries gone, confusion gone, buy buy buy and 10k it is, happy new year.
