US Military To Devleop Blockchain-Based Cybersecurity Shield

The Department of Defense (DoD) in the United States of America has recently revealed that it is developing a blockchain cybersecurity shield.

This is part of the department’s a wider digital modernization drive which includes the integration of cloud and quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and distributed ledger technology.

Distributed ledgers Technology (DLT) will be used to deploy Digital Identity Management program where in the agency could issue a digital token that authenticate an agent’s identity.

They shall also use DLT or blockchain to help them develop unhackable code that will enable them to secure their databases.

Only time will tell if any of these platforms will come into fruition but one thing is for sure the military has found value in distributed ledger technology and is wasting no time to discover the possible use cases of this emerging technology.
