Turkey Going Big On Blockchain
The Turkish government is planning to establish a national blockchain infrastructure with the main aim of utilizing the emerging technology for public administration.
This was revealed by the Ministry of Industry and Technology during its Strategy 2023 presentation last September 18 in an event in Ankara.
Strategy 2023 stresses the development and use of distributed ledger technology in the coming years as it was identified as the fastest growing technology trend with a 101.5% increase in early-stage startup funding globally.
The agency states that it is planning to work with Turkish regulators to create a regulatory sandbox for blockhain applications that will be used to analyze different use cases in public sector applications such as land registration, academic certificates, and customs.
