Thailand Ports To Use IBM’-Maersk Blockchain Solution
According to local news agencies, Thailand is integrating IBM and Maersk’s blockchain solution with the primary objective of increasing operational efficiency, transparency and security.
The Customs Department of Thailand will use IBM-Maerk’s blockchain solution dubbed as TradeLens, which is a blockchain-enhanced logistics platform co-developed by the aforementioned industry giants.
Thailand and Singapore join over 90 different companies that have joined TradeLens since its launch and who are now taking advantage of the tools that the platform offers such as getting advance tracking information about shipments.
The new blockchain-based platform will be implemented in the port of Chon Buri initially and then will be expanded to other ports which include the port of Bangkok.
