North Korea To Create Its Own Cryptocurrency
Reports say, that North Korea has plans to create its own cryptocurrency as part of Kim Jong Un’s latest state project.
No one is sure why the hermit country is planning to develop its own cryptocurrency, but, if we follow the narratives of other countries this can be assumed that it is designed to evade economic sanctions by other countries such as the U.S.
However, it must be noted that there has not been any state-backed cryptocurrency that ever attained mass adoption; Petro is the best example of this as it is yet to gain mass adoption in its country.
No other details are available with regards to this North Korean crypto project at the time of this writing but one thing is for sure, North Korea is interested in blockchain technology and plans to leverage this technology.
