New Lobbyists For Libra Stablecoin

The social media giant has recently hired two new lobbyists to help in its efforts to release its forthcoming Stablecoin Libra.

The first lobbyist is William Hollier who is the president of legislative and regulatory counseling firm Hollier Associates LLC, he will be lobbying for Facebook on blockchain policy and other duties deemed its employer.

The other one is Michael Williams of the Williams group, who started lobbying for Facebook back in July, he was the managing director of investment and banking company Credit Suisse Securities.

In an effort, the carb out the negative response from Facebook’s Libra initiative FB hired Washington-based lobbying firm FS Vector, a consultancy firm that specializes in regulatory compliance, public policy and business strategy for Fintech.

It seems that Facebook is not backing down on its efforts to launch Libra Stablecoin despite indications of early backers withdrawing support to the initiative because of significant pushback from regulators.
