Korea Blockchain Valuation started its operations last September 25 with the main aim of providing professional and in-depth analysis using objective criteria to rate blockchain projects.

The firm seeks to address the investing risk when dealing with blockchain investment opportunities brought about by a lack of information and weak regulations.

The new rating agency was formed by executives that previously worked at Nice Credit Information Service, a Korean rating agency tracing its origins back to 1986 and has a number of advisors and security and blockchain experts onboard.

Ratings from the new firm are multi-tiered with two rating criteria, technology rating and business rating that will determine its final rating.

It has already released its rating for its first project, Charzin, a blockchain solution for the electric vehicle charging market which received a B4 for business rating from the rating range of B1 to B10 (lower number is better) and a T5 technology rating and an overall rating of BB.
