Local Bitcoin Exchange In Norway Gets Support From Major Bank
The Norwegian Block Exchange (NBX), the cryptocurrency exchange founded by airline tycoon Bjorn Kjos, has gotten support from one of the major banks in the country.
According to reports, Norwegian savings bank Sparebanken Ost has invested around $1.65 million USD, which is about a 16.3$ stake.
The founder of Scandinavia’s largest airline is set to launch the NBX in mid-September after a year-long development.
Kjos also reveals that his new partners at Sparebanken see the exchange as something that could challenge the existing financial ecosystem with is offers of digital asset trading, payment, and saving solutions, as well as other blockchain-based services.
