Stripe, the online payments processing company has recently announced the launch of its lending service Stripe Capital for internet businesses in the United States.

It was announced on a blog-post shared last September 5, revealing that once an application is approved access to funds is usually granted the very next day.

The platform is primarily offered to Stripe users and will be extended to business entities such as online store builders and B2B SaaS companies, allowing them to offer their customers smart financing.

According to Will Gaybrick, The firm’s Chief Product Officer it is important to think about financial inclusion not just in terms of consumers but also in terms of businesses, stressing the importance of granting access to funds to small businesses.

Stipe is one of the Official partners of Facebook’s cryptocurrency initiative project Libra and has received criticism in the past from the cryptocurrency community for removing support to Bitcoin (BTC) citing its volatility as its main reason for its removal.
