L.A. Mayor’s Office Hosts Blockchain Startup Competition
The Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of Budget and Innovation and the city’s information technology Agency (ITALA) in collaboration with Goren Holm Ventures (GHV) is to host Block Tank Contest.
The event will take place on September 16 where participants will be presenting their project in front of celebrity judges at investment-focused blockhain conference CIS.
Winners of the said event will come home with $25,000 a minimum investment offer from GHV and a $25,000 pilot project with the city of Los Angeles.
According to Los Angeles CIO, Ted Ross, Utilizing cutting-edge technology to improve the lives of Los Angeles residents has been the top priority of ITALA and he expresses excitement over the partnership with GHV to explore blockchain solutions.
