Hyperledger Launches Blockchain-Based Identity Management Toolkit

It has been reported that Hyperledger will be launching a new identity management system.

This was announced by Reed and Brian Behlendorf, executive director of Hyperleder, and as part of their initiative they have launched a new, open source framework for identity management called Aries.

Reed has also revealed that Hyperledger’s tools are already being used to build government identity projects like the Verifiable Organizations Networks which is considered the first public permissioned production ledger for self-sovereign identity.

Self-sovereign identity tools like Aires enable users to reduce the time to develop identity systems which would help accelerate mass adoption and lowers cost and time to deliver the final product.

Once the project commence the source code of the project will be readily available on GitHub where the open-source community can review and test the code used in the initiative.
