Pang Huandong, former vice president of North American investment banking at JPMorgan Chase and the current honorary academic advisor of the Asian’s Blockchain Institute reveals that his experience during the peak of 2008 financial crash led him to think that blockchain could hold the key for a more transparent and trust in the global economic system.

He believes that blockchain has the potential to significantly reduce financial risk and establish a trust mechanism at the lowest possible cost.

Crypto Custody For Family Offices In Asia

The Asian asset management firm Fusang Investment Office who has operations in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia is said to be launching a cryptocurrency asset custody service called Fusang Vault in Hong Kong.

The firm usually services private family offices and have revealed a heightened interest in cryptocurrencies by high-net-worth individual prompted them to launch the service.

Crypto Custody seems to be a growing positive trend so much so that when Coinbase launched their Crypto Custody service the market reacted positively as it is widely seen as a means of reducing risk when investing in this new asset class.

Fortune Maganzine’s Annual 40 Under 40 ranking feature 5 cryptocurrency innovators this year.

This ranking includes a list of the most influential young business people.

The list includes Brian Armstrong the CEO of Coinbase, Vitalik Buterin co-founder of Ethereum, Pavel Durov founder of VK and Telegram which had a private ICO earlier this year, Vlad Tenev and Baiju Bhatt,who are co-CEO of Robinhood Markets.

Fortune’s list of business influencers also includes entertainers, entrepreneurs and political leaders.

Google Partnered With Blythe Masters’ Blockchain Startup

Digital Asset is partnering with Google Cloud to provide solutions architects a set of tools and services that will enable them to develop blockchain applications without them having to work from ground up.

Through this partnership, Digital Asset will provide blockchain related software tools as well as support for developers who are just entering the space.

Furthermore Google Cloud has also joined Digital Asset’s developer private beta giving them access to Digital Asset Modeling Language (DAML) Software Development kit.

It was revealed that Digital Asset Also plans to expand DAML as a Platform-as-a-service through this collaboration.

Google and Facebook Ban Reversal Fuels Coinbase Acquisition Speculation

Facebook, Google and Twitter earlier this year have decided to ban cryptocurrency advertisements in their own respective platforms citing wide spread fraud and risk associated with cryptocurrency investments as the primary reason why they took the initiative.

However after several months in effect Facebook and Google have lifted their blanket ban on cryptocurrency ads. Twitter is yet to follow suit.

This reversal of cypto ads fuels speculation of potential acquisition of Coinbase by Facebook, which was reported in some online cryptocurrency news outlet.

While there is no official statement yet from Coinbase CEO, Brian Armstrong about any indication to give some semblance of truth to this he has hinted at multiple projects going on behind the scenes.
