Bitcoin 1MB Block limit Fading Away

In a research conducted by Bitmex reveals that the 1MB limit of Bitcoin is slowly fading away.

As more people starts using cryptocurrency, it is just but natural to see bigger blocks forming the blockchain.

With the activation of Segregated Witness (Segwit) we are beginning to see the 1 MB limit fading away albeit in a much slower pace.

This is due to being a soft-fork which means an optional upgrade.

It must also be noted that by enabling Segwit paved the way to off-chain scaling solution such as Lightning Network.

This scaling solution is said to enable Bitcoin to significantly outperform Visa in terms of transaction per second while remaining decentralized and trustless.

$60,000 Bitcoin Price Says TenX Founder

TenX founder, Julian Hosp believes that the price of Bitcoin can still hit $60,000 this year even if we have seen prices as low as $6000 which is less than half of its price last December of 2017 and early 2018.

He said that to make this possible there should be a positive event that will serve as a catalyst for this to happen such as the prospect of having a Bitcoin Exchange Traded Fund (ETF).

Such an event will probably alter market bearish sentiments to a bullish one.

In turn more good news will be released by main stream media further pushing the price and making it possible to reach 60,000 USD.
