Development on Bitcoin's Lightning Network Compatibility Almost Complete
A year ago, various developers of Lightning Network combined forces to create rules that they will use to connect their technologies.
Since each of the implementation are using different technologies, Lightning developers need to draw up the standards so the networks could communicate to one another. Today, their work is almost finished with some minor inconsistencies and corrections to work on.
As reported, this project will bring more capacity such as lightning-fast & low cost transactions and scalability to the Bitcoin network following the recent SegWit upgrade as the foundation of its implementation
9 More Blockchain Patent Applications filed by Bank of America Released
Early this year, Bank of America submitted 9 more blockchain patent applications according to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office recent release.
These applications are related to payment systems that uses the blockchain technology.
The bank has not given any further definitive statements on the projects yet but its past announcements suggest some of the intellectual property will take place.
Last year, Bank of America partnered with Microsoft in applying blockchain technology to trade finance. As of today, the bank has filed more than thirty patent blockchain applications since last year.
Cryptocurrencies is Set to be Legalized in Vietnam
Like Japan and Russia this April 2017, Vietnam is set to legalize Bitcoin, including other cryptocurrencies in the country by 2018.
The country's Ministry of Public Safety and Ministry of Finance was assigned by the Prime Minister to come up with a framework or system to legalized cryptocurrencies.
Also, Lawmakers are working on a system on how cryptocurrency users will be taxed which will be expected to take place in 2019.
