Germany Passes New Pro Blockchain Policy

The leading EU state, Germany, has recently released a new strategy that outlines how the European country will tackle blockhain technology.

The strategy sets the standards by which the government interacts with this emerging technology in the field of digital identity, securities, and corporate finance.

This was the result of broad consultations with the industry stakeholders that started last spring and involved 158 experts and company representatives who submitted around 6,261 responses for the initiative.

While the recently released strategy was very positive about the use of blockhain technology in improving fields in digital identity and fintech it strongly expresses its concern with the prospect of Germany being dominated by Stablecoins.

The strategy document states that Germany will work to ensure that stablecoins do not become an alternative to state currencies while expressing its desire to create its own digital central bank money.
