Fold App is a lightning-friendly crypto payment app that allows consumers to use digital assets to pay for goods and services and earn bitcoin-back rewards.

It has recently added fiat capability after raising $2.5 million from its first funding round which was led by venture firms such as, Craft Ventures, CoinShares, Slow Ventures, Goldcrest Captial and Fulgur Ventures among others.

In addition to this, the company is planning to roll-out subscription options for merchants and consumers soon which the company claims will provide premium and highest rewards.

According to Fold product lead Will Reeves, when their customers use their mobile app to pay fiat at retailers, they will be rewarded with some BTC cashback, which they can spend or withdraw.

The application is currently available for mobile users and will soon be a available for desktop users with all the features found on the mobile version.
