ebay Might Finally Be Accepting Cryptocurrencies

There has been reports circulating in the crypto space that e-commerce giant, eBAY might finally start accepting cryptocurrencies according to photographs of marketing material from the ongoing Consensus 2019 conference in New York.

eBay which has more than 180 million users might be actively pursuing crypto payments as one of the major sponsor of the annual event and interpreted to be deliberately targeting attendees’ imagination.

One of the placards reads “Virtual Currency. It’s happening on eBay which seems to suggest that the online retailer will soon be accepting cryptocurrencies which are essentially virtual currencies.

While this is great news for the wider cryptocurrency community it is highly unlikely that the online retail giant will be accepting cryptocurrencies directly which points to a third party partnership with a payments platform that accepts crypto and converts them to fiat which eBay will readily accept.

One such payment platform is UTRUST, a company which last September gained former eBay and PayPal executive Sanja Kon to front its global partnership expansion.
