Chinese Telecom Releases Information On 5G Blockchain Phones
One of the major telecom companies in China has recently released a white paper that details its plans on 5G blockchain-enhanced smartphones.
During the Cina international intelligent Industry Expo on August 27, China Telecom introduced its whitepaper in which it pointed out the potential benefits of applying blockchain technology to mobile phones.
The paper also noted the growing adoption of Blockchain technology in the moile industry albeit the adoption rate is pretty small right now due to the limited number of blockchain-powered phones available in the market right now.
The whitepaper reveals the intentions of China Telecom which plans to leverage blockchain technology to address major issues in operating mobile networks such as fraud, harassment, loss of data and crome related to identity theft.
