BTC Google Interest Explodes
According to news reports, online the interest for BTC explored a new record on Google Trends as the search results for bitcoin’s ticker symbol skyrocketed.
It seems that that the parabolic rise of interest on bitcoin started around August 30 and started to reach peak popularity early September which is conferring a value of “100” a metric used to denote popularity with 100 as its highest value.
Looking at past data Bitcoin’s search interest and price action have been perceived to have a strong correlation with many pundits claiming it to be a critical indicator of demand.
While all bullish price movements are typically celebrated by the cryptocurrency community it is not clear just what is causing this recent spike leading many to speculate on Market manipulation.
