Bitcoin Still Best Bet For Internet Currency

According to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, he has no interested in making a digital currency similar to Facebook’s Libra but intends to promote the use of Bitcoin.

He believes that the cryptocurrency pioneer is still the best bet to be the internet’s native currency adding that open internet standards serve every person better than ones controlled by companies.

However, despite his very bullish stance on Bitcoin, the Twitter chief executive believes that Bitcoin is not functional as a currency, he adds that it is more like an investment asset that is the digital equivalent to gold.

Dorsey states that bitcoin developers should make it more usable and accessible as a currency but at its current form it does not suffice to this function.

Lastly, he thinks that bitcoin will eventually be adopted more widely as he sees it as the most resilient amongst all other cryptocurrencies and with a proven track record being around for 10 years.
