An NBA Player Is Turning His Contract Into A Blockchain Tokenized Bond

Spence Dinwiddie, an NBA player with the Brooklyn Nets, has recently revealed that he plans to turn his three-year, $34 million contracts into blockhain tokenized bond.

Interested parties will be able to invest their money into the contract and earn interest based on his basketball performance.

With this initiative, this NBA player will be the first-ever athlete to put his contract on a blockchain turning it into a digital investment.

Dinwiddie plants to start his own company that will allow him to securitize his NBA contract in the form of a digital token.

It is not yet clear which blockchain the NBA player will use and prospective investors should take note that termination of the contract prior to 2022 will render the contract worthless.
