22% Of Crypto holders In Europe Are Women

While the common notion that cryptocurrency community participants are pre-dominantly is true, the degree of the gender imbalance may have been far more less than what many have guessed.

To get a more clearer insight into the profile of European investors Fintech firm Bitpanda and research company GlobalWebIndex have partnered together to conduct a study to examine a broad set of data points.

Prior research has indicated that 90%+ of crypto investors are male but the latest study indicated that this disparity is slowly disappearing as European crypto holders are now 78% male and 22% female.

Female crypto investors are 30% more likely to be in the top 10% of earners – 21% versus 16% of their male counterparts and 3.3x more likely to be so than the average women.

The recent study still confirms current stereotype in the crypto space where males dominates much of the participation in the industry but it is good to know that slowly women are starting to take interest in the new asset class.
