The list of Sports Betting Related Blockchain projects keeps growing. Sportscrypt is in a way similar to yesterdays reviewed Crypto Sportz in that they also offer a working platform that offers Sports Betting through smart contracts on the Ethereum network.

Sportcrypt looks far more serious and they have an up and running exchange that can be used to place bets with ETH in Metamask. The initial plan written down in their whitepaper is to charge no fees aside from the gas that has to be paid to use the ethereum network. Bets can be backed or layed very similar to Betfair. They offer mainly some big leagues like NBA and international soccer. The odds they use seem to be percentages (50 means 50% odds 2.00 | 60 means 60% odds 1.666.)

I have not tried it out yet myself but might do so next week. The project seems to have a good mindset and the exchange looks quite functional. The website itself does not look very attractive and overall activity on the exchange is on the low side as they do not seem to have a way to market everything. They have a Twitter and Reddit account but only a handful of followers there.

I will make an update in case I descide to actually try it out.

      Hey mate. Which do you recommend as being the most like a traditional betting exchange such as Betfair?

      Most of the projects are in development right now. Sportscrypt right now seems to be most similar to Betfair but lacks marketing and traffic. Bookie.exchange once released will probably be one of the more solid platforms that works similar to Betfair. They will use the peerplays network which is based on Graphene. (Graphene is the technology originally created to build BitShare).

      I'm also putting some of my hopes on Betterbetting who seem to aim more towards the asian betting market.

      I'm expecting a lot of the teams will have something up and running when the world cup starts.
