Why you won't hear talk of "partnerships" from Factom (FCT) - from Paul Snow
We quit announcing "partnerships". Tons of companies want to do joint announcements to get in the news that they are doing something in the blockchain space for marketing. But that hurts our brand by making many, many announcements that don't result in real delivered applications in a reasonable period of time.
Instead, we only announce real milestones. Actual "signed on the dotted line" development like the Gates Foundation, Two projects with DHS, etc. So I can't give you a timeline. But when they come, they will be tangible!
We've not heard a whole lot out of the Factom camp this summer, but don't let that discourage you. Factom is one of the few alts that have multiple use-cases, an amazing team and the right mindset when it comes to marketing decisions. I'm proud of the Factom team for not releasing news prematurely just because the market has been booming this last few months and awaiting deals that are "signed on the dotted line".
This is kind of depressing if you're a Factom holder though. A little marketing/hype helps pump the price.
I disagree. When a price gets pumped over hype there's a definite dump shortly after. We see that with nearly every coin that has hype or a conference. When Factom releases news it will be factual and not speculation. It will be real partnerships that have signed and agreed to terms with their team. I think it's amazing stance to have, to be honest, which makes me more confident in them.
True...but Factom doesn't ever release news. I love the integrity and makes sense from the perspective of their customers. But, man...how about a little marketing.
They do the Tech Updates on their blog pretty frequently, but you're right...there's not much marketing going on, or at least that we see. If you look at the team page you'll notice they have Marketing and Comms people, so I wanna believe those people are doing something :D
