Participating in ICOs (Initial Coin Offerings) Knowledge.io for Example

One of the big frustrations in buying cryptocurrency is the transaction costs. There are a lot of middlemen to deal with. Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to eliminate the commissions on the exchanges (but they are 50% on Binance if you use the Binance Coin) or to eliminate the markups, higher prices, or exchange costs on Coinbase. I'm not a fan of all those commissions which is why I use RobinHood when I buy and sell stocks. One thing you can do though is to cut out the commissions by participating in ICOs - this is also where the potential for big money is. ICOs or Initial Coin Offerings are the fund raising efforts of new crypto and blockchain companies. Not everyone does it - but for those who do - this is a way to offer a ground floor price with no trading commissions to investors. Most ICOs are done on the Ethereum network though more and more are using the smart contracts functions of coins like Stellar and Cardano (soon).

There are a lot of ICOs . To find a good one you need to have a bit of luck and know where to look. There are very smart people who are looking at every one of these and picking out the best of them - and many of those smart people will fail.

I like this one. Knowledge is turning online advertising on its head. It is offering a real solution to a real problem and it has a great team and a solid plan. Does that mean it will make people rich? Nobody knows. I'm buying a little bit - the minimum is $200 and for the next twelve hours there is also a pre-sale bonus of 65% - so if you buy before the deadline you get 330 for $200 ($1 per coin - steep price but great coin and not being issued in huge numbers) - So, the price is less than $1 each for now. Do your own due diligence, read up on it, and take your chance. This is not investment advice - you, like me, should make your own decisions. It's nice however, not to pay exchange fees.
